Personal Narratives
From Negative to Positive Thought - An Exploration of Mindful Grieving
This essay is a culmination of thoughts and feelings that surround the loss of my father and how I navigated a windy path of introspection to come to terms with his passing.
A Boy and His Rhinos
A mother understands what a child does not say and seeks to fulfill his dreams. What what else would she do for a boy and his rhino? A narrative about my son and a trip to remember.
Did You Know that Kids Get Arthritis Too?
My brave and strong 10 year old daughter is one of 300,000 children living in the US today with an autoimmune disease known as Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JA or JIA). I am bringing her story out to help bring awareness that kids get arthritis too.
A Harsh Reality if a Mother’s Mistake: How could I be so blind to the mistakes I was making? How did I miss the signs I was doing it wrong? How can I forgive myself when my child is the one I wronged? Turns out the answer is simple. But I didn’t find that answer until I faced the harsh reality of my own failure.
A Young Girl’s Journey to the English Countryside for a Literary Experience of a Lifetime
I went to school at Regents College in London for two semesters to study literature. This narrative is one distinct experience and a treasured memory for me outside of any collegiate requirement. Let me share my memory and you’ll see my journey as a young girl passionate for the beauty of language and words.

Creativity Chaos
What Does Creative Chaos Mean?
Creativity in chaos is freedom, spontaneity, instinct and playful curiosity. It is seeing, feeling or sensing and communicating ideas in ways that are unique, compelling, and unexpected. When you’re being creative in chaos, you can see the hidden patterns, make connections between things that aren’t normally related, and come up with new and innovative ideas.
Defining the Flow
YOU KNOW THE FEELING. You are writing, drawing, painting (whatever your creativity is) and you are hitting it hard. Your words are flowing like wine, your brush strokes are dancing across your canvas and you feel awake, alive, and like you are producing the best you’ve ever done. You can’t name it but you bet it is like what Tom Brady feels when he lights up the field with out of the world game plays.
Live a Creative Life - The Creative Design Process
Break out of established patterns in order to look at life a different way. Stop seeing things for what they are and start seeing them for what they may be. Push boundaries and limits to see how far you can go with just imagination. We must allow ourselves to make mistakes, we must let go of the fear of being wrong and we must have courage and not be afraid to fail.

The Beauty of Words
This section contains articles from my blog for the logophile, Seductive Vocabulary. Two of my favorite features are listed below.
The Winds of Fate and Destiny in an Eternal World
The concepts of fate and destiny and the concepts of eternity and infinity are all entwined in meaning but have distinct connotations. Fate and destiny relate (differently) to a predetermined state in the future and that future may or may not be held eternally or infinitely. This list explores these concepts as well as the circumstances that play into their defining characteristics.
Translating the Untranslatable
There are a lot of feelings and emotions that we don’t have a word for in English. So we look to other languages to fill that need. These words are called untranslatable because they describe something we can’t translate into English. A text or utterance that is considered to be "untranslatable" is considered a lacuna, or lexical gap. You may have also heard it referred to as a loan-word.
The Embers of Thought in the Fire of Creativity
Thought encompasses a flow of abstract and linear ideas and associations that can lead to a reality-oriented action or conclusion. Although thinking is an activity of an existential value for humans, there is still no consensus as to how it is adequately defined or understood. Thinking allows us to make sense of, interpret, represent or model the world we experience, and to make predictions about that world. It is therefore key to manifesting action from the needs, objectives, and desires that come from planning and strategizing. I think therefore I am?

The Answer to Fate, Destiny and Love
How the gods come together to form the concept of soulmates. Ananke, derived from the common Ancient Greek noun ἀνάγκη (Ionic: ἀναγκαίη anankaiē), meaning "force, constraint or necessity,” is the goddess or personification of inevitability, compulsion and necessity. The births of Ananke and her brother and consort, Chronos (personification of Time) were thought to mark the division between the eon of Chaos and the beginning of the Cosmos.
